Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Crate Crawl, a music discovery platform designed for DJs. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What Crate Crawl Is

Crate Crawl is a music discovery platform for DJs. It searches SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Beatport, and other music platforms to surface tracks that match the sonic profile of your crates. As you rate tracks, the platform learns your taste and improves its recommendations over time.

Crate Crawl also offers Track Fixer, a feature that accepts uploaded audio files and performs format conversion (e.g., MP3, AIFF, WAV) and metadata correction to produce files optimized for your DJ setup.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may use the service only with the active involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact us at support@cratecrawl.com.

You may not create accounts for others without their permission, impersonate another person, or use a name or email address that belongs to someone else.

4. Plans and Pricing

Free Plan

The Free plan allows you to discover up to 10 tracks per week and maintain up to 3 crates. Track Fixer is not available on the Free plan. Free access has no time limit and requires no credit card.

Pro Subscription — $9.99 / month

Pro is a monthly subscription billed automatically via Stripe on your billing date. It includes unlimited track discovery, unlimited crates, access to Track Fixer, batch downloads, and support for all music platforms. You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain Pro access until that date, and no further charges will be made. Payments already processed are non-refundable (see Section 6).

Founding Member — $99 lifetime

The Founding Member plan is a one-time payment of $99 that grants permanent Pro-equivalent access to Crate Crawl for as long as the service operates. This plan is limited to the first 100 members and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the 100-member cap is reached, this plan will no longer be available for purchase. Founding Member payments are non-refundable. By purchasing, you understand and accept this as a lifetime, non-transferable license for your individual use.

5. Refund Policy

All subscription payments are non-refundable. When you purchase a Pro subscription, you are paying for access to the service for that billing period, and we do not offer prorated refunds for unused time if you cancel mid-period.

If you believe a charge was made in error — for example, if you were billed after cancelling or were charged the wrong amount — contact us at support@cratecrawl.com within 7 days of the charge. We will investigate promptly and issue corrections where we find an error on our end.

6. Audio Files and Track Fixer

When you upload audio files to Track Fixer, those files are temporarily stored on Cloudflare R2, our cloud storage provider. Uploaded files are automatically and permanently deleted within 48 hours after the processed output file is available for you to download. It is your responsibility to download your processed files before they are removed.

By uploading a file to Track Fixer, you represent that you own the rights to that file or have explicit permission from the rights holder to process it. Do not upload files you do not have the legal right to modify or distribute. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any audio you upload.

Crate Crawl does not claim any ownership or license rights over files you upload. The files belong to their respective rights holders. We process them only to provide the Track Fixer service you requested.

7. Intellectual Property

Crate Crawl — including its code, design, branding, and interface — is the intellectual property of the company operating this service. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the platform without express written permission.

We do not claim ownership of the music files you upload, the crates you create, or the playlists you build. Your content is yours. We are simply providing the tools and infrastructure to help you organize and discover music.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use Crate Crawl in any of the following ways:

  • Scraping, crawling, or automatically extracting data from the platform using bots, scripts, or other automated means.
  • Attempting to access, probe, or test the security of our systems, or interfering with the operation of the service.
  • Uploading audio files for which you do not hold the necessary rights, or using Track Fixer to process content in violation of copyright law.
  • Using the service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Sharing, selling, or transferring your account credentials to another person.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the platform.

9. Service Availability

Crate Crawl is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free performance, or that the service will meet your specific requirements.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time with reasonable notice where possible. We will not be liable for any disruption or data loss resulting from system maintenance, infrastructure issues, or discontinuation of the service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crate Crawl and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, lost profits, or damage to equipment. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Illinois.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the app. The updated terms will include a revised “last updated” date. Your continued use of Crate Crawl after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
